There was a mass shooting at a graduation ceremony for Huguenot High School yesterday evening. It was being held at Virginia Commonwealth University – Monroe Park Campus in Richmond, VA.
Seven were shot, two fatally. Others were injured from being trampled. One person was hit by a car. Amari Ty-Jon Pollard, 19, was arrested. He was charged with two counts of second-degree murder today.
The fatalities are said to be a father and son, Shawn Jackson, 18, and Renzo Smith 36.
Huguenot High School is 64% Black, 27% Hispanic, and 8% White. Richmond has seen an exploding homicide rate after electing a far-left mayor and a self-described “progressive” as chief prosecutor.
