Two Black males, who are cousins from Birmingham, AL, sent three Georgia police officers to the hospital with gunshot wounds on Monday, April 12th.
Aaron Jajuan Shelton, 22, and Pier Alexander Shelton, 28, were spotted driving 111 mph before dawn Monday morning. Then they led the police on a high-speed chase and eventually crashed their car in front of a Villa Rica, GA elementary school. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Carrollton Police Department, and Villa Rica Police Department were all involved in the pursuit.
After wrecking, one of the perps stood in the road and fired a Kalashnikov rifle at the police, hitting three people. Pier Alexander Shelton was killed by return fire and Aaron Jajuan Shelton was apprehended alive.
Carrollton Police Sgt. Rob Holloway and Carrollton County Sheriff’s Deputies Chase Gordy and Jay Repetto were all shot. One of the deputies has been released from the hospital. Sgt. Rob Holloway was shot in the head and remains in intensive care.
