AirBnB murder study

Vast majority have Black perps

Airbnb murders are clearly a Black phenomenon.

Gun Violence Archive lists 39 murders at Airbnbs in 2025–2026. One was classified as a suicide by local authorities. Thirty-three of the victims were killed by Black perpetrators, many of whom are either still at large or whose arrests were never reported by the media.

There were also two fatalities at Airbnbs that were ruled justifiable self-defense. Both were Black-on-Black incidents.

Most fatalities at Airbnbs occur at parties. Sometimes the party is attacked by a rival gang. Other times, a fight breaks out among attendees and someone starts shooting. In many cases, there are almost no details available. Common patterns include party attendees fleeing the scene immediately, a “wall of silence” from witnesses, and wounded individuals self-transporting to the hospital.
