Some Metro Nashville schools rocked by constant fighting

A lack of restorative practice specialists is to blame!

Metro Nashville is a county-wide district with 167 schools and 86,000 students. WSMV Channel 4 wants to know why certain schools are so notorious for violence.

The  video clips shown by WSMV  below are from Hunters Lane, which is not even the most violent High School. Two other Metro Nashville High Schools have even much higher rates of students who have been involved in a fight this year. However, they have fewer students overall. So Hunters Lane counted the most fights overall.

The Metro Nashville District says every middle and high school will soon have a “restorative practice specialist.” They will allegedly teach students “how to process conflict and emotions without resorting to violence.”

Note that the percentages listed are the percentage of students involved in fights, just this school year so far!
