Second mass shooting at an off campus party in five days

For the second time in four days, there was a mass shooting at off-campus housing for University students. This time at the “historically Black” North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

Kaneycha Turner, a 19-year-old Black female student, was killed. The second person killed has not been named. Four others were injured by gunfire. A party was occurring at off-campus housing for students. Police have not released any details on the shooter.

This comes on the heels of the October 21st mass shooting at a fraternity house near Southern University in Baton Rouge.

Eleven people were shot during a party held by the “African American fraternity” Kappa Alpha Psi. Jaicedric Williams, a 22-year-old Black male, has been charged with eleven counts of attempted murder. Two others have been charged with being accessories.
