School spent $250k to “uproot white supremacy,” and test scores fell

Glassbrook Elementary school in Haywood, California spent $250k in federal funding on a three year program to create an “abolitionist early learning ecosystem.”

The school hired Akiea Gross of Woke Kindergarten to train teachers to “uproot white supremacy, disrupt racism and oppression which are barriers to learning.”

Two years into the three year contract, math proficiency fell from 8% of students to 4% and reading proficiency fell from 16% to 12%. The school has 474 student who are 86% Latino, 6% Asian, 3% White, 3% Black, and 2% mixed-race.
