Christopher Darnell Jones is believed to have shot five people at the Culbreth Parking Garage around 3:30 AM this morning. Three of the victims have died, all said to be students.
The victims are Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis, and D’Sean Perry. All three are Black males who were current members of the football team.
According to a campus website, Darnell was a UVA football player in 2018 but did not get to play in any games.
Police say he was apprehended around 11:00 AM.
