Thug charged with murder, numerous rapes, two attempted murders while on “mandatory release”

All crimes committed in less than three days

On Thursday, Nov. 3, Michael Butler, 35, was given “mandatory release” by the Department of Corrections in Alabama. The media has not reported on his past criminal record.

After that, he allegedly commenced a non-stop campaign of terror across Alabama and Georgia.

He is accused of kidnapping, rapping, and sexually torturing two teenage girls. Then a home invasion, kidnapping, and attempted murder. Then shooting another man in the leg and the chest.

Finally, he is accused of raping and murdering Victoria Ann Malet, 54. Her body was found in the woods in St. Clair County, Alabama, on Nov. 5.

Butler was captured after a high-speed pursuit on the evening of Nov. 5.
