California private schools will be forced to have gender neutral bathrooms

Private school is no escape in California

California Governor signed SB 760, a radical new bill authored by State Senators Scott Wiener, Josh Newman, and others. It mandates that every school, including kindergartens, have special “gender-neutral” bathrooms by July 1st, 2026. This includes all public, charter, and private schools.

According to a press release from Senator Josh Newman, the bill “requires all K-12 schools in California to provide appropriate and equitable access to all-gender restrooms for students to use during school hours.”
