Alleged “shopping cart” serial killer arrested in Fairfax, Virginia

Killer allegedly met his victims online

Anthony Robinson, 35, has been arrested for allegedly murdering at least four women. Police dubbed him the “shopping cart killer” because he would use stolen shopping carts to transport the bodies. Two of the murders occurred in the DC area, and two occurred in Harrisonburg, VA.

Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis says he suspects there are more victims.

The victims are Cheyenne Brown, 29, Allene Elizabeth “Beth” Redmon, 54, and Tonita Lorice Smith, 39. A fourth 21-year-old victim has not been identified yet. Brown was also pregnant at the time.

Robinson had no criminal record and traveled back and forth from the DC area to New York.
