Suspected serial killer charged with 7th homicide in Missouri and Kansas

Face tattoo helped to identify suspected serial killer

Perez Deshay Reed, 26, has been charged with seven first degree homicides, all occurring during September, October, and November of 2021. He shot his victims in the head execution style. The homicides were committed around St. Louis, Kansas City, MO and Kansas City, KS.

Most recently, he was charged for the November 2021 shooting death of Stephon D. Johnson, in Kansas City, Missouri. Police say that Reed had a key to Johnson’s apartment. DNA and ballistic evidence connected him to the crime scene. Reed was initially fingered as a suspect, because witnesses described his face tattoo.

Reed has also been charged with the following homicides in St. Louis County:

Marnay Haynes, 16, on Sept. 13, 2021.

Pamela Abercrombie, 49, on Sept. 16, 2021.

Carey Ross, 24, on September 19, 2021.

Lester Robinson, 40, on Sept. 26, 2021.

Homicides in Wyandotte County, Kansas:

Damon Washington Irvin, 35, on October 28th, 2021.

Rau’daja De’Naya Farrow, 25, on October 29th, 2021.
