Eleanor “Ellen” J. Bowles, 77, was stabbed to death inside her home at a gated community in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood. The attack took place in the middle of the day around noon. Clear video of the suspect was captured on surveillance camera as he stole the woman’s Lexus SUV.
Antonio Brown, 23, has been arrested and charged with murder, aggravated battery, hijacking a motor vehicle in the 1st degree, possessing a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony, and abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a disabled or elderly person.
The vehicle was recovered in a neighboring community.
The neighborhood only has one entrance/exit, and an automatic gate protects it. It is being investigated how Brown gained entry.
