Impeachment trial of Philly DA Larry Krasner will start Jan 18th

PA Senate could forcibly remove Krasner from office

Larry Krasner is the “progressive” District Attorney of Philadelphia. Under his watch, violent crime has exploded.

Krasner was elected in 2017 after George Soros spent $1.4 million on his campaign. At the time, the homicide rate was 19.9 per 100k. In 2021, the city set a new record with a homicide rate of 35.4 per 100k. Violent crime in Philadelphia now accounts for 48% of all violent crime in Pennsylvania.

Members of the Pennsylvania State Senate are scheduled to receive the articles of impeachment against Larry Krasner today. Then they will be sworn in as jurors.

Larry Krasner will have until December 21st to enter a plea. Krasner is accused of driving up crime by refusing to prosecute large numbers of offenders, including repeat offenders. The impeachment trial is scheduled to start on January 18th.
