The Black Lives Matter movement rioted all over America in 2020, causing at least 32 deaths, hundreds of injuries, and over a billion worth of property damage.
However, the women running Black Lives Matter Inc. raked in $90 million. Primarily collected through online donations at the Black Lives Matter website. This was disclosed in a report they just published online. (Note: The official full name is now Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, Inc., a registered 501c3)
lt should be noted that there are now dozens of registered copycat groups raising money as well. A “Black Lives Matter Foundation” in Santa Clarita CA, allegedly raised millions itself and is now facing legal action in California and New York.
Black Lives Matter was founded in 2013 by three women, Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi, with the stated goal of “Black Liberation.” A goal that they re-affirm in their new report. Most people who actually participate in BLM activities have no idea who these women even are.
Patrisse Cullors is a lesbian woman who advocates Marxist Critical Theory. She is married to Janaya Khan, who is employed by the far-left organization Color of Change.
Alicia Garza identifies as a “queer Jewish woman.” She is married to Malachi Garza, a transsexual who runs a Black/Latino trans advocacy group called “Brown Boi Project.”
Opal Tometi was born in Nigeria before her family immigrated to the United States. She previously worked for Black Alliance for Just Immigration, which advocates for open borders.
The report disclosed that they raised $90 million, spent $8.9 million on operating expenses, and gave out $21.7 million in grants. They also state that they now have corporate partnerships with Hamilton: The Musical and Sprite (A subsidiary of Coca-Cola).
The $21.7 million, disbursed as grants, went to thirty-three different groups. The report says “23 of them are led by Black LGBTQIA folks and/or directly serve these communities.” They say each of these groups received at least over $100k each.
Until recently, their website said they had a stated goal to “disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure.” Most of the goals originally listed on their website were removed in 2020 because of black celebrities who denounced some of the far-left Marxist aspects of it.
Historically, blacks have been seen as the community least interested in homosexual and transsexual issues. When California voted on Proposition 8 in 2008, which banned gay marriage, blacks voted in favor at the highest rate of any race by far.
