Australian “Indigenous Voice” amendment humiliated

60%+ vote NO

The Indigenous Voice amendment would have amended the Australian constitution. Aborigines would have been given the title of “First People.” Then, a special entity would be created to pump tax-payer dollars into professional racial grievance activists. These activists would then give presentations to parliament and the executive branch of government regularly. The entity described is very vague and open-ended. It could be continuously expanded indefinitely.

Back in 2022, it was widely claimed that it would pass by a landslide. The results are not final, but the NO vote is currently at 60.4%.

The amendment even failed by over 60% in Northern Territory, which is about 25% Aborigine. It was primarily only the dense urban areas where the YES vote won.
