Third major gangster rapper killed in Sweden since 2021

Ethnic Assyrian rapper Ninos Khouri, AKA “Gaboro,” was shot multiple times in a parking garage in Norrkoping, Sweden, on Thursday. He died shortly after. Khouri is known for wearing a black mask in public and rapping about thug culture,  guns, and jewelry. In a shocking twist, the killer wore a body camera and posted the footage online. No one has been arrested yet.

America thug culture in Sweden

Khouri is an Assyrian surname, and he uses crucifix jewelry and Assyrian symbols. The first wave of Middle-Eastern immigrants into Sweden were primarily Assyrian Christians from northern Iraq and northern Syria. Ten years ago, this immigrant group was being praised as a success story in multiculturalism and integration. Many even reportedly voted for what is considered “center-right” political parties in Sweden.

No one has been arrested yet for Khouri’s murder.

Karar Ali Salem Ramadan, AKA “C Gambino,” died six months ago after being shot in a Gothenburg parking garage. No one has been arrested in his murder either. He was signed to Warner Music and rapped about thug culture, guns, drugs, luxury cars, and jewelry. One of his videos is called “Ghetto Psykos.”

Just like Khouri, Ramadan is also known for wearing a mask during performances.

Ramada is the son of Syrian immigrants. Also, like Khouri, he uses crucifix jewelry despite his surname being Islamic. His parents were probably Christian.

Contrary to positive portrayals of Christian Middle-Eastern immigrants in Sweden, it appears that many of their children have embraced thug culture and are involved in street gangs.

Khouri is the third big-name Swedish gangster rapper murdered since 2021. Award-winning Swedish rapper Nils Grönberg, AKA Einár, was shot “execution style” right before he was supposed to testify in court. He was going to testify against a Stockholm gang and the ethnic Somali gangster rapper Yasin Abdullahi Mahamoud AKA Yasin.

Yasin was previously convicted of kidnapping Einár in 2020 and served a short stint in prison for it. Einár was the recipient of two Grammis awards, the Swedish version of a Grammy. The murder of Nils Grönberg remains unsolved!

Unlike Khouri and Ramadan, Grönberg appears to be an ethnic Swede.
