Westminster, SC, is a small town of 2,600 in a rural county of about 80k.
September 7th:
Three people, ages 14, 17, and 20, were attacked with gunfire while inside a vehicle.
Annalyssa Marie Biondolillo-Rodriquez, a 20-year-old White female, was shot in the chest and killed.
The 17-year-old was also hit in the chest but is expected to survive. The 14-year-old was not hit.
Charles Stephon Trapp, a 19-year-old Black male, has been arrested and charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.
August 23rd:
Rodney Johnson, a 54-year-old Black male, was shot and killed. A 37-year-old female was arrested and charged. However, the charges were dropped on September 2nd due to a lack of evidence.
June 23rd:
Danny Andrew Smith was shot to death while operating a tractor at the edge of the town.
Two unnamed suspects, ages 8 and 9, were charged with involuntary manslaughter due to criminal negligence. Police say they were firing off a gun wildly and hit Smith.
May 9th:
Two people were shot and wounded. The suspect is Noah Cleveland, a 25 year old Black male. Cleveland was shot to death at a Red Roof Inn in Anderson, SC the very next day.
Three killings in one year would give Westminster a homicide rate of 115 per 100k. Higher than even St. Louis.
