Once upon a time, a large majority of all Black children in the US lived in a two parent household. A large portion owned their own house. Notice that what the video calls “outdated ideas about Negro” in 1954. Do they seem even more outdated now, or even more relevant?
The video was published by Johnson Publishing, which also owned Ebony magazine, the largest Black magazine. The purpose of making the video was to try to get more companies to advertise in Ebony magazine.
