Texas becomes 19th state legislature to ban transsexual drugs/procedures for minors

Yesterday, the Texas House passed SB 14. This makes the Texas state legislature the 19th to ban transsexual drugs and surgeries for minors.

Nearly 40% of the US population now lives in a state where the legislature has banned the transsexual “transitioning” of minors. Before the current legislative session is over, it is likely that at least one more state, Nebraska, will pass this law.

The vote in the Texas Senate was completely partisan, with Republicans voting yes, and Democrats voting no. However, five Democrats broke rank and voted yes in the House.
