Just how unpopular is Netflix’s Cleopatra?

The verdict is in

Netflix’s Cleopatra was explicitly created to promote the Black nationalist falsehood that Cleopatra, an ethnic Macedonian, was a sub-Saharan African. The narrator and executive producer is Jada Pinkett Smith, the wife of the famous comedian Will Smith. Jada Smith was most likely one of the largest investors who funded the show. The show is divided into four episodes and billed as Season 2 of African Queens.

The show prompted outrage in Egypt, and now Al Wathaeqya, a state-funded media outlet, is making its own documentary to counter Netflix.
