Teacher pepper sprayed by female student

Same teacher was punched in the face three months ago

A teacher at Antioch High School in Antioch, TN, was viciously pepper sprayed when he confiscated a cell phone from a female student.

The same teacher was punched in the face earlier in the school year. He says he has been attacked multiple times since he started working at Antioch High.

No charges have been filed in the felonious assault.

Antioch High is listed as 36% Black, 36% Latino, and 23% White. Test scores at the school are abysmal.

The teacher told WSMV that the school’s problems are the result of a “lack of funding.” Metro Nashville schools received a staggering $14,109 per pupil in state and local funds for the 2019-2022 school year. This made it the second most lavishly funded school district in the entire state of Tennessee.
