Notorious Houston Judge gives perp ten years for killing three

Could be paroled in five years for three murder convictions

In 2021, this website wrote about a triple killing in Houston, Texas. Ahmedaltayeb Modawi, a 17-year-old Sudanese immigrant, killed an Ethiopian immigrant and two Latinos to evade the police. A fourth unnamed victim, a passenger in the perp’s stolen car, was seriously injured. The perp was supposed to be working as a valet but was doing stunts in a customer’s car when a police officer saw him. Modawi then slammed on the gas and took off. He quickly plowed into the three victims, valets at another venue.

He was charged with three counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury.

He agreed to plead guilty to three counts of murder. Judge Chris Morton sentenced him to ten years. Under Texas law, he will be eligible for parole in five years.

According to Fox 26 Houston, Morton is already notorious for his extreme leniency. Morton’s Twitter account has been temporarily disabled, suggesting he was getting flak from critics.
