Despite unprecedented bi-partisan support, Louisiana Governor John Edwards vetoed a bill banning the sexual transitioning of minors.
Today, the Louisiana legislature overrode his veto. The House voted 75 to 23 to override, and the Senate voted 27 to 7.
Currently, it is unlikely that there will be any more bans passed until the 2023-2024 legislative session begins.
