The state of Texas is refusing to return control of a 2.5-mile stretch of land to federal control. The Biden Administration is accused of using Shelby Park, which sits along the border at Eagle Pass Bridge, as a welcoming center to bring illegal aliens into the country.
For the past two years, the public has been shocked by scenes of hundreds, or even thousands, of illegal aliens massed at the park and being welcomed into the country.
Now, the state of Texas is occupying the park and building security barriers. State authorities have arrested some illegal aliens. The Biden administration is demanding that the park be returned to federal control. So far, Texas Governor Gregg Abbott is holding his ground.
