County refuses to allow Antioch, CA, to shut down dangerous library

Robberies, drugs, and public sex

Soros funded DA Diana Becton

The city of Antioch says it is too dangerous to operate their local library! On Saturday, city officials announced that the library was being indefinitely shut down over crime, public drug use, and public sex. It would not re-open until new security measures are implemented.

However, the Contra Costa County government has ordered them to re-open. City officials now say the library will re-open on Tuesday.

The same neighborhood has seen businesses flee. Nearby Target and Jo-Ann stores have recently shut down. A local Amtrak train station is also threatening to shut down. Contra County is home to George Soros-funded progressive district attorney Diana Becton, who is widely accused of coddling criminals.

City of Antioch, CA:

Beginning Saturday, February 17, 2024, the Antioch Library will be closed until further notice.

The Contra Costa County Library has made this difficult decision after repeated dangerous incidents in the last few months that have threatened the safety and security of patrons and staff.

During the closure, the Library will be working to implement further security measures so we can reopen as soon as possible. These will take some time to complete, and we do not have an estimated date for reopening. We will continue to keep you updated on our progress.
