Chair of South African Medical Association again confirms that Omicron produces only mild symptoms

"There is no reason for panic"

Note: Wikipedia has locked down both pages related Omicron so no one can add any of Coetzee’s remarks. Most “mainstream” media outlets are only reporting sensationalist hyperbole without any of Coetzee’s comments.

Angelique Coetzee, chair of the South African Medical Association, has again confirmed that the Omicron variant, discovered in South African three weeks ago, is a very mild version of the virus. She says the strongest symptom is fatigue, which can be strong but only lasts for one or two days. Other symptoms includes minor headache, minor body aches, scratchy, but no sore, throat, and a minor cough. No loss of smell or taste has been reported.
