Freelance journalist Rebecca Brannon says she was sitting in her car eating food when three armed Black males fired a shot in the parking lot. The trio then spent fifteen minutes breaking into and starting two cars. As they left, they fired a second shot.
Brannon says she called 911 after the first shot was fired, but police never came.
Shots fired at McDonald’s lot in Minneapolis Uptown tonight. Couldn’t capture much without being seen – I had not even put my vehicle into park when a guy came out of nowhere & fired his gun into the air – right in front of me – that’s when I started recording & called 911… 1/2 pic.twitter.com/C6Lwx8rnzk

Should add – those guys definitely saw me, but I pretended not to see or dare look their way & pretended to eat. And I’ve seen a lot and experienced a lot especially during the riots of 2020 – but I had no idea where that gun was going to be pointed… it’s not a good feeling.
