Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at George Mason University in Virginia on Tuesday. A foreign college student who describes herself as part Yemeni and part-Iranian tells Kamala Harris that America’s continued funding of Israeli “hurts my heart.” She says that America is funding “Israel’s genocide.”
Harris praises the girl for her comments telling her, “your truth cannot be suppressed, and it must be heard.”
Israel has become a huge source of tension in the American left. On the one hand, American Jews provide a disproportional amount of funding and leadership roles for the American left. On the other hand, rank, and file left-wing activists are increasingly hostile to Israel and accuse it of “genocide,” “apartheid,” “colonialism,” and even call it a “Nazi” or “White Supremacist” state.
