Portland Mayor and DA sued by the estate of Antifa murder victim Aaron “Jay” Danielson

Lawsuit blames Ted Wheeler and Mike Schmidt for allowing a preventable Antifa murder

On August 29th, 2020, conservative activist Aaron Danielson was shot and killed execution-style by self-described Antifa member Michael Reinoehl. Danielson had participated in a pro-Trump demonstration, in which Antifa violently rioted. Video shows Reinoehl and a group of accomplices stalk and surround Danielson. Reinoehl shoots the man in the chest, and then his accomplices aid him in escaping from the scene.

Reinoehl then met with VICE News reporters, a media outlet that employs numerous Antifa supporters, who attempted to portray him in a positive light. VICE News pushed a fictional tale of self-defense that is easily disproven by video of the murder. Reinoehl was later shot and killed in self-defense by US Marshalls in Lacey, Washington.

The murder is examined in great detail in Crossfire, a documentary made by Lauren Southern. Go to the 1:24:30 mark.

Now the estate of Aaron “Jay” Danielson is suing the city of Portland for $13 million. Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt have been named personally in the suit.

The lawsuit was filed in Federal court on September 10th. It accused Mike Schmidt and Ted Wheeler of negligence and said they created an environment where deadly Antifa violence was not only possible but probable. Mike Schmidt has refused to prosecute over 90% of the charges pressed against Antifa and BLM rioters. He has publicly boasted about refusing to prosecute people for public order crimes.

Christopher Cauble, the lawyer who filed the lawsuit, said:

“We are seeking justice for the preventable death of a young man, gunned down in a city with a dangerous and deadly hands-off approach to public safety. Time and time again, City leadership and law enforcement have failed to find an effective response to clashing groups of protesters. Given the enormity of the press coverage over the past several years regarding clashes between left- and right-leaning protest groups in the downtown core of Portland, Defendants knew or should have known that violent clashes would occur,”

On August 22nd, 2021, an Antifa gunman nearly killed another victim less than two blocks from where Danielson was murdered. Dennis Anderson, a 65-year-old man, is on video being stalked and menaced by armed Antifa. At least one of the Antifa is threatening him with a gun. Then, a different Antifa fires six or more shots at Anderson, riddling the from of MOD Pizza with bullet marks.

After that shooting, Antifa is on video trying to prevent the police from investigating the scene. The Portland police are accusing Antifa of stealing crime scene evidence.
