How will Poland give Mig-29s to Germany, to give to the USA, to give to Ukraine?

Can this actually be done without using other countries as bases to fly sorties?

Major media outlets state that Poland is preparing its 28 Mig-29s to fly to Rammstein Air Force Base. This is a US base inside Germany. The US would somehow send them into Ukraine. Some American Senators, including Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio, support this.

The Mig-29s were originally gifted to Poland by Germany. Poland states that they expect to be compensated with new aircraft, provided by the United States, free of charge.

The Mig-29s will somehow be flown into Ukraine for the Ukrainian air force. This will somehow be done without an incident that could expand the war into a greater war between Russia and NATO. This website previously published a column about this.

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby has previously stated, “we do not believe Poland’s proposal is a tenable one.”

“The prospect of fighter jets ‘at the disposal of the Government of the United States of America’ departing from a US/NATO base in Germany to fly into airspace that is contested with Russia over Ukraine raises serious concerns for the entire NATO alliance. It is simply not clear to us that there is a substantive rationale for it. We will continue to consult with Poland and our other NATO allies about this issue and the difficult logistical challenges it presents, but we do not believe Poland’s proposal is a tenable one.” – Pentagon Spokesman John Kirby

US Senator Marco Rubio says he supports proving military aircraft to Ukraine, even though he says there are many things that make the plan potentially impractical.
