Shanti De Corte was at the Zaventem, Belgium airport on March 22, 2016, when two Islamic State suicide bombers detonated nail bombs in the departure hall. Thirty-two people were killed, and over three hundred were injured. De Corte, who was seventeen at the time, was uninjured. However, she suffered from PTSD.
She had her life terminated by the state at age twenty-three.
