Florida legislature votes overwhelmingly to ban children under 14 from social media

Do you believe 13 year-olds should have social media accounts?

On the heels of a unanimous bill to crack down on criminal squatters, the Florida House nearly unanimously passed a bill to ban children 13 and under from social media.

Florida House Bill 3 was passed in the Senate by 30 to 5 and the House by 109 to 4. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has now signed the bill.

The bill bans social media companies from allowing people under 14 to create an account or enter any contract.
