Does this look like a “5 year-old?”

Primary components of the rhetoric against Shiloh Hendrix are the unsubstantiated claims that the alleged Somali thief is only “five years old” and “autistic.”

We are addressing the “autism” claim in a different article.

The NAACP is fundraising off the Rochester, MN video, claiming the money benefits the “5-year-old” shown in the video. However, the NAACP uses a picture of a completely different kid who looks five, while the actual kid they are referencing does not look five.

The NAACP fundraising hustle is using a completely different kid who actually looks five.

National Conservative believes that the kid in the video appears to have the height, head-to-body ratio, and body posture of someone significantly older than five.

The kid is standing on a piece of playground equipment at the Roy Sutherland playground and Soldiers Field Memorial Park. The red bars holding up the roof at 84″ tall. The connector pieces are 39″ from the base.

The kid has his right hand on a connector bar making the height of his hand 39″ from the base. The bar appears to come up to the bottom of his chest. This would make him approximated 52″ tall if he was standing straight up. However, he is leaning over during the whole video.

I have 4 grandsons, the oldest is nearly 11, and this child appears to be at least 8 or 9 and he could be quite a bit older. I’m not just going on his height but other physical attributes. It’s not uncommon for immigrants to claim children are considerably younger than they really are and it’s impossible to prove the correct ages. Why? One reason is they don’t want the kids to age out of generous welfare programs. And the autism claim adds an additional layer of cash. It’s a grift. Ms. Hendrix could have called him a brat or a little thief and the outrage would still be there, even though he is both, maybe not quite as loud but it’d still be there. And she is absolutely right not to apologize. An apology would only send a message of weakness and she’d be unmercifully tormented.
