Clovis Community College sued for banning conservative flyers

Flyers highlight historical genocides of socialist regimes

The Foundation for Individual Rights and Education [FIRE] filed a lawsuit on November 8th against Clovis Community College in Fresno, California.

The lawsuit states that Clovis Community College banned students from posting flyers for a conservative student group. The group is the local chapter of Young Americans for Freedom [YAF]. The flyers highlight the historical trend of socialist governments engaging in totalitarianism and genocide.

The lawsuits names Clovis Community College president Lois Bennett, vice president Marco De La Garza, and Dean of Student Services Gurdeep Herbert. They allegedly invented new rules to ban YAF’s flyers from the campus.
