On December 30th, federal prosecutors filed a “nolle prosequi” to dismiss all charges against prison guards Tova Noel and Michael Thomas. Last May, federal prosecutors gave them a six month deferral of prosecution in exchange for their cooperation and 100 hours of community service. Federal prosecutors now say that the pair have allegedly completely 100 hours of community service and they have no intention of prosecuting them for any crimes.
The pair have confessed to ignoring their duties while Jeffrey Epstein, a federal inmate of extremely high value, died mysteriously.
Tova Noel and Michael Thomas were supposed to check on Epstein every thirty minutes to ensure that he made it to trial alive. Instead, they say they surfed the internet, slept, took extra breaks, and filed fake logs.
The pair were sitting in an office five yards from Epstein’s cell when he died.
