The FBI has charged the mayor, the district attorney, and the city councilman with participating in a bribery scheme in Jackson, MS.
Hinds County District Attorney, Jody E. Owens II, 43;
Owen II was elected in 2019 after his campaign was funded by the Mississippi Justice & Public Safety PAC. This PAC received 100% of its 2019 funding from George Soros.
Owens II is the second Hinds County DA to be funded by George Soros and the second Soros-funded DA to be charged with a crime while in office.
In 2015, Soros funded Robert Shuler Smith’s re-election campaign through the same Mississippi Justice & Public Safety PAC. Within a year, Smith was charged with crimes three times.
He was accused of pulling a gun on his ex-fiancé and threatening to kill her. This resulted in a variety of domestic violence-related charges. The state also charged him with providing information to assist criminal defendants and conspiracy to hinder prosecution. Local Hinds County juries (73% Black) returned with hung decisions and acquittals for his corruption-related charges as a prosecutor. Similarly, the jury was hung on all his domestic violence charges as well.
Mayor of Jackson, Mississippi, Chokwe Antar Lumumba, 41;
Chokwe Antar Lumumba is the son of the famous Black separatist leader Chokwe Lumumba, who was elected mayor of Jackson in 2013. He was well known for creating the Republic of New Afrika with Betty Shabazz, the widow of Malcolm X. This group advocated for an independent all-Black socialist nation with in the existing United States.
However, Lumumba died of heart failure the next year in 2014. His son, Chokwe Antar Lumumba was elected mayor in 2017 and then re-elected in 2021.
Former President and current member of the Jackson City Council, Aaron Banks, 47,
Banks was first elected in 2017 and was previously the president of city council.
Negro politicians, businessmen and pastors have always been corrupt.
