Tyrone Thompson mowed down two pedestrians at Austin’s 2024 SXSW Festival while drunk and fleeing from the police.
He was convicted of two murders and sentenced to a total of 100 years. However, the judge ordered all sentences to be concurrent. So, in reality, he will only serve 20-40. One victim is White and one victim is Black.
