Perp is an Eritrean. He was driving for a small freight company that was moving merchandise for Amazon. He slammed into merging traffic and just kept going. 18 vehicle crash with five killed and another fourteen injured. Police say he was high on an unknown drug. He is charged with five counts of intoxication manslaughter and numerous other crimes.
