Macon, GA man is third sibling to be murdered in 25 months

And he has another brother who was shot and survived

Note: Macon, Georgia, is a consolidated “city-county” that is also referred to as Macon-Bibb County. There are 157k people in the county, who are 57% Black and 36% White.

On December 3rd, Tylik Young, 22, was shot and killed in Macon, Georgia. His younger brother Jordon Young, 19, was hit in the shoulder by a bullet at the same time but survived.

On November 16th, 2021, their older brother Shawn Deontae Watts Junior, 24, was shot and killed in Macon. Another person, Cleveland Raines, 18.

On November 17th, 2020, their older brother Malik Young, 24, was killed at the Pine Ridge apartment complex in Macon, Georgia.

Earlier in 2020, Malik Young appeared on Macon’s “15 most wanted list.” He seems to have been apprehended in February 2020 for a gun crime.

The local media has reported ZERO arrests in all three murders.

Tylik Young was Macon-Bibb’s 62nd homicide of 2022. However, there was a mass shooting at an apartment complex three days later. On December 6th, four were shot and three died. The media is not reporting any arrests.

2020: 43 (157k, 27.4 per 100k)
2021: 54 (157k, 34.4 per 100k)

2022: 65 so far..
