Update: A third male, Marquel Andrews, 24, died from his wounds.
There was a mass shooting Saturday morning outside a hip-hop concert at Chicho’s Pizza Backstage in Norfolk, Virginia. Around 1:55 AM, one or more Black males opened fire into a crowd of people as they left the concert.
Devon M. Harris, 25, and Sierra M. Jenkins, 25, were killed. Two adult males and an adult female were wounded.
Sierra Jenkins is a former CNN employee and a current reporter for the Virginia-Pilot newspaper.
As mass shootings soar in the USA, rap and hip-hop concerts/bars have become a common location.
The concert featured DJ Julz Gat. A second hip-hop concert was scheduled for Saturday night featuring DJ Sugarbearz and others. It is unclear if that will still take place.
