“Fentanyl State of Emergency” declared in Portland

Did they just now notice?

Multnomah County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson have jointly declared a 90-day “Fentanyl State of Emergency.”

Once again, National Conservative seems to have been way ahead of the curve. We have been sounding the alarm about fentanyl in the Pacific Northwest for years now.

In 2020, Oregon voters approved Measure 110 by 58% to 42%. This decriminalized the possession of small amounts of drugs. Those caught with small amounts would no longer face jail time but a $100 fine. Left-wing progressives praised measure 110 as a “paradigm shift” in how drug users are treated. They claim it would lead to more people getting treatment and fewer drug addicts.

Measure 110 was supposed to “save lives.”
