The Netherlands plans to nationalize and dismantle 3,000 farms to comply with new EU climate goals.
While this is said to be only 5.5% of Dutch farms, no one believes that it will stop at 3,000. The “climate goals” will continuously increase and demand more and more farms be shut down. The Netherlands will be left without a secure domestic food supply and tens of thousands of jobs will be lost.
There have been major protests by farmers. This has led to an increasingly heavy response by police to shut the protests down.
The latest escalation is the deployment of heavy earth-moving equipment by police to battle farm tractors.
