One of the justifications we have seen for the USA taking control of Greenland is the allegation that Hawaii would become a colony of China if it were not a US state. These people seem oblivious to the current stereotype of Hawaii as a defacto Japanese colony.
Let us look at the eight most powerful elected officials in Hawaii.
Governor Josh Green, M.D. – Ethnic Jewish, born in New York
Lt. Governor Sylvia Luke – Ethnic Korean, born in Korea
US Senator Brian Schatz – Ethnic Jewish, born in Michigan
US Senator Mazie Hirono – Ethnic Japanese, born in Japan
US Congresswoman Jill Tokuda – Ethnic Japanese, born in Hawaii
US Congressman Ed Case – Ethnic English/German background, born in Hawaii
Hawaiian Senate President Ron Kouchi – Ethnic Japanese, born in California
Hawaiian House Speaker Nadine K. Nakamura – Ethnic Japanese, born in Hawaii
Note: One thing I did not anticipate is that the list would include two Jewish people. So while Japanese and Koreans are greatly overrepresented, Jewish people are overrepresented by an even far greater amount.
Hawaii is over 15% Japanese, close to 4% Korean, but only about a half a percent Jewish.
Non-Jewish Whites are greatly underrepresented. Two other large groups, Filipinos and Native Hawaiians are absent from the top eight.
