Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell held a press conference today to discuss his “Downtown Activation Plan.” This is his effort to clean up crime and open-air drug use downtown. An Antifa-like group called “Stop the Sweeps” gathered and screamed hysterically.
Stop the Sweeps works to undermine Seattle’s efforts to clean up homeless camps and move the homeless into shelters. The problem is that many homeless people don’t want to be in a shelter because there are rules against drug use, prostitution, and trafficking of stolen property.
