When many people decide if they want to take a vaccine, they will weigh the severity of the disease against the possibility of vaccine side effects. However, if one cheap, safe, and effective antiviral pill reduces the severity of the SARS2/Covid-19 in half, doesn’t that cut the argument for the vaccines in half.
