15 Chicago schools report ZERO students proficient in math or reading

Money is not the problem!

Fifteen Chicago schools are reporting that no students are proficient at grade-level reading or math. We looked up the student demographics of each school.

The only other schools in Illinois reporting this level of failure are Lovejoy Middle and Lovejoy Elementary School in Brooklyn and YBMC in McLean County. The Lovejoy schools are 98% and 99% Black. YMBC is listed as 44% Black, 22% White, 17% Latino, and 17% mixed-race. It also only has 19 students in total.
