New Iberia is a small city in Louisiana. It is about 45% Black and 45% White.
On November 14th, Kameran Bedsole, 36, was murdered at his home. On November 28th, local police executed a search warrant on a nearby home and arrested an 11-year-old girl. She was charged with first-degree murder the next day.
Police came back on December 5th and arrested the girl’s 15-year-old brother and her mother. Sabrina Washington is charged as being an accessory after the fact. The 15-year-old is also charged with murder.
Other relatives have identified the 11-year-old on Facebook as Milan Johnson.
