Six girls, ages 16 and 17, were attacked on a train going from Peschiera del Garda to Milan as they returned from the Gardaland amusement park. Thirty migrants from North Africa sexually assaulted them.
According to the mayor of Castelnuovo del Garda, Giovanni Dal Cero, the perpetrators were part of a two-day crime wave. A giant beach party was organized in Peschiera on June 1st using Tik Tok. Much of the crowd were migrants. The mob moved from the beach to Lake Garda, where fights and stabbings took place. Riot police had to be deployed to stop the mayhem.
Then, at 6:00 PM on June 2nd, the six girls were sitting on the 2460 region train. They say the North African men were spitting all over the windows of another train before storming onto their train. Then the thugs mobbed them and took turns groping them. The victims say the attackers mocked them with racial abuse saying, “White women don’t come up here.”
Luca Zaia, governor of the Veneto Region, stated, “We continue our daily battle for not only individual but also social freedom. It is inconceivable that women and girls would be harassed and threatened in this way in this country. I appeal for zero tolerance and that the police put their utmost effort into finding those responsible. We cannot allow for events like these to become ordinary or, even worse, that we get used to them. I repeat, zero tolerance.”
The girls are from Milan, where similar mob violence occurred last New Year’s Eve.
Matteo Salvini, former minister of the interior and the leader of Italy’s League party, wrote on Twitter that the attack was “a shame, a disgust. I expect an effective intervention from Minister Lamorgese (minister of the interior) and harsh condemnation from the left and feminists. Do you think I’ll wait a long time?”
Maria Teresa Bellucci, a deputy of the Brothers of Italy party and the head of the social affairs commission, wrote that “the events of Desenzano are group violence, along the lines of those that occurred in Milan on New Year’s Eve. The gang phenomenon must be contained, Italy cannot experience situations similar to those of the (French) suburbs. The government needs to tell us if there is an anti-gang strategy.”
For years, large numbers of people from Africa have illegally entered Italy. They are primarily young males from middle-class families that paid thousands of dollars to coyotes. The media in Europe falsely calls them “refugees.” In reality, they are economic migrants who come to Italy for a more comfortable lifestyle. Non-profits actively assist them in reaching Italy.
