The death toll in the Sacramento mass shooting has risen to eight dead and ten injured. Some of the fatalities have been identified.
At about 2:00 AM, a mob fight started in the entertainment district of Sacramento. Police say multiple people opened fire during a period of about 45 seconds. Between 75 to 100 rounds were fired. It was the deadliest mass shooting of 2022 so far.
Sacramento had 57 homicides in 2021, the deadliest year since 2006.
