East African immigrant arrested for double murder at Halloween party in West Valley City, Utah.
Police say Yonis A. Muktar, 19 (mugshot classified), is part of a gang that murdered Javon Welcher, 19, and an unnamed 17-year-old White female.
West Valley City is less than 3% Black.
In 2021, Utah Republicans banned mugshots statewide to pander to the extreme Black Lives Matter movement and intentionally obfuscate the wildly disproportionate amount of violent crime committed by Blacks in Utah.
